The Oracle Project is designed to give students the exposure to cloud computing. The students create an APEX workspace through Oracle. After completing a Microsoft Excel project, students build an Oracle Database and On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) application in the Cloud. The students learn to modify the report parameters of their applications. Hiding columns, creating filters, and computations are involved in the modifications.
After the students participated in creating their own Oracle APEX work space, Mr. Paul Ungaretti, Area Vice President of Oracle National Technology Sales, presented to the students. Mr. Ungaretti covered topics including ApEx , 501c3 Sector, Technology
Industry Opportunities, Skill Sets, and a brief overview of Oracle’s Entry Level Programs. The students got a taste of what the technology sector is all about and opportunities within it.
